Seriously?

Did this owner/operator think the professional contractor he hired was capable of this quality of work? Makes you wonder, if the contractor offered, "Stuff-in-the-goop", or something better... Would the owner choose this? Not Hardly.

Why does this method exist? Let's list the common excuses...

  • it's been done this way for years
  • it's a customary fix
  • the standard method
  • nobody cares about the penetration
  • the penetration is the customers' problem

Truth is, nobody planned ahead. Just install the equipment and slop-in-the-goop to cover the hole, then leave the problems for the owner/operator to handle.

This contractor clearly wasn't worried about the performance or the integrity of the building.He didn't even care about the appearance of his own job. He probably blamed the leaks on the roofer. How could a roofer fix this??
