The Inventor of the REACH product was a 15-year mechanical contractor and concept design engineer. David Smith founded this company simply to market his innovative product. His ingenuity overcame obstacles while designing the marketing procedures for REACH Manufacturing. Obstacles were inherent, since this product stands in opposition with the construction industry's age-old solution for rooftop penetrations, plus they've completely ignored the task of connecting rooftop equipment and how it should be done.

Build the Components to Build the Product

Designing the REACH was simply the first step. Manufacturing meant finding components to build his product, ones that would interface with rooftop equipment. These components weren't available from the manufacturers (off-the-shelf). He had to negotiate with several manufacturers, asking them to adapt their products so they could become components of the REACH System.

Challenging the Construction Industry

Advising the industry there is an orphaned area of construction and then requiring changes, caused David to meet with resistance. REACH is all about Solutions. David's dedication to eliminating unnecessary contractor liability while assuring the owner/operator he receives a hazard free project, is slowly diffusing the opposition.

Educate Commercial Customers

The construction industry had business owner/operators completely oblivious that major problems existed on rooftops. David had to begin by educating the public about the rooftop hazards, exposing the sloppy contractor work, and only then could he offer The REACH Solution.

The REACH is designed to put the control back in the hands of the the owner/operator, to determine how he allows contractors to interface with his building.
